Contemporary Rabbit Month: Robert Tatum: "Random Prayers"
For The Second Annual Contemporary Rabbit Month, July 2012, Sala Diaz Presents Random Prayers, an installation by Texas artist Robert Tatum. When you're hot, thirsty, bored and broke, is it OK to pray for Beer? Is it proper that young school children that are tired of getting beat up by bullies pray for revenge? Does a Praying Mantis have a soul to keep? These are some of the random questions that are playfully entertained in Tatum's work as he explores different mediums: murals, neon, reproductions and a 1940's retail bike cart. On opening night there will be original tees and prints for sale.
