Rick Springfield

Years before he had housewives swooning as General Hospital’s Dr. Noah Drake and a Grammy for his 1981 megahit “Jessie’s Girl,” a teenybopper version of Rick Springfield played himself in the ‘70s-era Saturday morning cartoon Mission: Magic! and rocked in an an array of Aussie groups — including the pink satin-clad boy band Zoot. Last year Zoot reunited for the fourth (and allegedly final) Rick Springfield & Friends Cruise. In addition to a new album (Songs for the End of the World), the pop heartthrob recently collaborated with Dave Grohl on a song for the upcoming documentary Sound City.
