They’re not even 20 yet, but Monterrey DJs/producers Erick Rincón, Sergio Zavala (DJ Sheeqo Beat), and Alberto Presenda (DJ Otto) have already stayed at the top of the Billboard Latin charts for two weeks thanks to “Inténtalo,” the first single off their eponymous debut (they performed the song at the 2012 Billboard Latin Music Awards). In spite of their deliberately commercial, crowd-pleasing disco-oriented style, 3BallMTY (pronounced “Tribal Monterrey”) has clever arrangements, a challenging mix of dance with African, Pre-Hispanic, and Latin rhythms, and the flawless production of fan Toy Selectah (Control Machete). The music starts at 6:30 p.m., but they’ll perform after Sie7e, El Cata, and Olga Tañón, and just before Tito “El Bambino” and Daddy Yankee at the People en Español Festival.
