The Scene Is Dead Tour
Although they’re not part of the official lineup, Aristotle, Beethoven, Shakespeare, and Einstein factor into “The Scene Is Dead Tour.” The late greats have all inspired Blood on the Dance Floor frontman Dahvie Vanity’s recent “wisdom trip” that’s shifted the emo/electro band’s focus from controversy to love and courage. Originally named Love the Fashion, BOTDF has morphed from an Orlando-based novelty trio into a Phoenix-based power duo (Vanity plus vocalist Jayy Von Monroe) with a ravenous following and Billboard-charting albums. In support of 2012’s Evolution, BOTDF joins forces with a visually arresting crew that includes gender-bending singer/mannequin/makeup artist Jefree Star, female-fronted dark pop-rockers New Years Day, and industrial-punk-metal quintet Davey Suicide.
