George Weir will stop by the Twig to sign copies of his book, Long Fall From Heaven. The book follows two ex-cops with shaky pasts who stumble upon a serial killer. Through the murderer the pair learn of Galveston's dark background.

Presented in full costume and using Olde English, this event is a fun lecture on 17th Century America for kids. Author Diane Z. Shore will share selections from her book This Is the Feast, chronicling a family's journey to the new world and their lives as they settle into their new home. This reading will be accompanied by a demonstration of children's toys from that time period.
